1. Who we are

AcctVault operates this marketplace from Nigeria and is the data controller for the personal data described here. We process data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

2. What we collect

Account data: full name, email, WhatsApp number, password (stored securely), profile photo.
Seller data: payout bank details and account name, listings and sales.
Security and device data: when you reset your password, and when you use the service, we record your IP address, approximate location (city and country derived from the IP address), device model, operating system, browser, screen size, time zone and the date and time of the action.
Activity status: whether you are currently online and when you were last active on AcctVault.
Transaction data: orders, wallet balance and top-ups, messages with buyers, sellers and support, reviews, disputes.

3. Why we use it

To run your account, process orders and escrow, pay sellers, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, send service notifications, provide support, and meet legal obligations. Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention), legal obligation, and consent where required.

4. Security, device and activity data

We collect the security and device data above to protect accounts from takeover and fraud, to investigate suspicious password resets and sign-ins, and to notify you and our administrators when your password is changed. This information is visible to AcctVault administrators and is not shown to other users. Your approximate location comes from your IP address and is not precise GPS. Online status and last-active time help us run the service and spot abuse and are visible only to administrators. We keep this data only as long as needed for security, fraud-prevention and legal purposes. By using the service and using password recovery you acknowledge this processing; you may object to it or ask for access or deletion under section 7, although we may keep records we are legally required or legitimately need to keep for security.

5. Who we share it with

Between buyer and seller only what is needed to complete an order (for example your display name). With payment and infrastructure providers who process data for us, and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention and security

We keep data while your account is active and afterwards as needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute purposes. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service is perfectly secure.

7. Your rights

Subject to the NDPA you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contact us via support to exercise these rights.

8. Cookies and storage

We use browser storage and similar technology to keep you signed in, remember your cart and theme, and make the app work offline.

9. Children

AcctVault is not for anyone under 18.
